What Drives Success

The primary functions of the position are to develop and maintain Laser CNC programs, optimize manufacturing processes through automation, operate and troubleshoot Laser equipment, and support production by improving efficiency, quality, and consistency across manufacturing operations.

  • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
  • Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (“EH&S”), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
  • Program Laser Cutter using CAD software and machine controls to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select appropriate power, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
  • Perform first-piece inspections and make program or offset adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
  • Operate Laser CNC equipment to manufacture components while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance during operation and troubleshoot programming, tooling, or machine-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records, program documentation, setup sheets, inspection reports, and job logs.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and quality management system requirements.
  • Assist in training operators and team members on Laser CNC programming, setup, and machining best practices.

What We Are Looking For

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires a work schedule of 4:45pm-3:30am Monday - Thursday
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during a full shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. unassisted; heavier loads may require team lifting or material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as required to perform machine setup and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Education

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience programming and operating Laser or CNC machinery in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience reading technical drawings, and translating drawings to workable programs for CNC operation.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 35 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to visually inspect finished products for defects, and match specifications from technical drawings, ie. Read rulers and micrometers.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $24.00-$34.00/hour Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
