Job Description

KI's Manufacturing plant in Bonduel has an opening in our Fabrication Department for a Laser CNC Operator.
The Laser CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining the CNC laser machine to produce parts according to exact specifications.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Set up and operate CNC laser machine to cut metal tubing or other parts.
• Read and interpret job orders to determine machine settings.
• Load and secure materials into the machine and ensure the correct alignment for precise cutting.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain quality and precision.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the machine, tools, or materials during the production process.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize processes and improve production efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Weld/Fabrication duties as assigned.
• Maintain and manage tube inventory.
• Experience with CNC laser cutting machines preferred.
• Associate degree in machining technology or related field is preferred.

This is a first shift position. The hours are primarily 5a-2p Monday - Friday with overtime and weekends required during peak production (summer months).

Successful candidates will be highly motivated, have a positive attitude, and previous experience working on a laser CNC machine is preferred. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and know how to read shop orders. Must have ability to work on feet for long periods of time. Candidate must pay attention to quality and detail work at a continuous pace and be able to work with minimal supervision. Successful completion of a drug screen is required for all employees.
