General Information

Reporting to the HBU Manager, you will lead the Large and Complex projects managed at HBU level, from Tendering to Execution, being responsible of running the day-to-day Operation and to achieve customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution.

You will provide leadership for the projects within your portfolio, being responsible for ensuring the overall scope is delivered as planned, taking ownership for the forecast, risk and financial results, whilst also working closely with functional leads to secure overall project execution safely on time, on quality, within budget and to full customer satisfaction.

The Health, Safety, Environment and Security of the project and all those working within it will be a top priority.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and sponsoring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations across the Large Projects of the HBU.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and continuous improvement in HSE processes and integrity performance.
  • Organizing, staffing and directing project execution for the Large and Complex projects within the HBU. Building an effective, capable and high-performing organization.
  • Responsible for safe, on-quality/on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project cash. Responsible for managing the Large and Complex Project Portfolio development, aiming to improve the overall GM at portfolio level.
  • Accountable for the overall customer satisfaction across the Large and Complex Project Portfolio
  • Effectively planning, monitoring, and controlling activities necessary for predictable fulfilment of planned activities with efficient utilization of available resources.
  • Monitoring and controlling project financials to maintain or improve contract margins, cash flow and cash generation, whilst managing and mitigating risk.
  • Ensuring that all opportunities for Customer Satisfaction, Gross Margin improvement and/or Project Growth are captured and acted upon.
  • Ensuring compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies and procedures related to Operations/Project execution. Accountable for operational risk management, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of business operations.

Your background

  • A master’s degree in engineering
  • More than 15 years of experience in project execution, working as operations manager within system projects business.
  • Sound knowledge of Grid and Power Quality business and the Utility/Industry market.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing all Operations process.
  • Experience developed within multicultural or global environments will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Project platforms specialized for Project Management/Controls.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages preferable.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Leadership experience with strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Customer Focus & Quality competences.
