The Role:

AsaLanguageProjectManager, you willbe a key member of our established Language Services Team You willmanageprojects across all Language Services includingtranslation,transcreationand cultural consultancy amongst others, ensuring content is linguistically flawless, culturally relevant, and aligned with brand voice across markets.

You willbe responsible forend-to-end Language Project Management;implementing andmaintainingprocessesand workflows,integratinglanguage technologytools,making responsible use of AI-powered tools where relevant,and upholding quality standards to supportPOP’s global language capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end Project Managementand executionof Language projects frominitialbrief, all the way through to client delivery,whilstadhering toestablishedSLAs
  • Act asa mainpoint of contact for clients throughout Language project lifecycleand build strong relationships with all stakeholderstoeffectively manageclient expectations,addressand troubleshootconcerns, and proactivelyidentifysolutions
  • Conduct post-project debriefs with clientsto gather feedback and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Develop cost estimates for Language projects usingSMEknowledge and experience and following established rate cards.
  • Manage Language projects within agreed budgets and profit margin targets.
  • Monitor and report on financial performanceof projects, ensuringtheymeet profitability targets and provide insights for future forecasting.
  • Handle billing processes and POs ensuring compliance with all financial procedures and policies.
  • Act as theSubjectMatterExpert in all aspects ofLanguage Services:translation, transcreation, localization, culturalconsultancyetc.
  • Strong understanding of distinction between Translation and Transcreation services, andthe importanceof cultural nuances / sensitivities.
  • As Languages SME, make recommendations and offer guidance to lessexperiencedclients / colleagues for best practices in Language Services
  • Use Language SME knowledge toidentifyand proposelanguage workflow optimizationsfor improved effectiveness and efficiencies
  • SupportRFPs,pitchesand client presentations by providing linguistic and culturalexpertise
  • Manage andoptimizelanguage processes, workflows, and tools (including TranslationManagementSystem (TMS), Translation Memory(TM)management,Termbase Glossarymaintenanceand AI-poweredtranslation.
  • Demonstrate specific key experience in TMS use and use this TMS knowledge to upskill peers / colleagues / clients.
  • Use knowledge of AI-powered platforms / tools to supplement manual human efforts where possible – particularly with QC-and explore new AI applications to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to quality standards LQAfor linguistic excellence across all markets and content types.
  • Act as Brand Guardian to ensure Brand Guidelines and QC Checklists / Procedures are followed accurately.
  • Involvement in LAR and CAPA processes where necessary toidentifyquality challenges, root causeanalysisanddetermineworkable solutions.
  • Maintain and update internal project trackersforregular reporting on statuses and performance metrics
  • Collaborateand coordinateclosely withProduction teams to ensuretranscreatedand localizedcontent preserves the intent and tone of the original work.
  • Close collaboration with Language Service Team peers for detailed handoversduring absences,and job sharingto effectively balance workload / capacity
  • Manage and nurture relationships withlinguists and language partners(translators, proof-editors, post-editors, copywriters, cultural researchers)including negotiating rates and onboarding new talent.
  • Supportthe expansion and development of the POP Linguist Database to ensure language resources are sufficient for all project scopes.
  • Remaininformed about industry trends andactively researchemerging technologies in localization, AI, and language services, recommending relevant innovations for optimized approaches
  • Support with trainingand mentoring ofinternal teams peersto increase linguistic awareness and best practices.

Qualifications Experience:

  • 2-4years of experience in translation, localization, or transcreation, ideally in an agency or global brand environment.
  • Strong command of Language Technology and Translation Management Systems (TMS) andproficiencywith standard project management applications (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace etc.)
  • Familiarity with AI tools to offer automation solutions and supplement human efforts (AI Translation / AI QC etc.)
  • Excellent organizationalandproject management skills.
  • Flexible and agile mindset tofacilitatelast-minutescope updates and handle change management, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic agency environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to partner withProductionTeamsand freelance linguist suppliers
  • Strongand confidentclient communication experience includingleadingday-to-day comms and pitch / project-specific presentation experience.
  • Proven business acumen, financial forecastingskillsand a strong understanding of working to budgets tomaintainprofit margins and increase revenue.
  • Proven ability to manage workflows, projects,and quality across multiple markets and languages.
  • Deep understanding of linguistic nuance, tone of voice, andimportance ofcultural adaptation.
  • Fluency in Englishrequired;additionallanguages are a strong plus(especially German, Spanish and / or Japanese where possible.)
