POSITION: Language Teacher
SALARY: $36.03 to 53.89, per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: Principal
LOCATION Pascal Sherman Indian School, Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: This is a Non-Exempt position. The role of a Certified nsxlcin Language Teacher is to teach the language in the classroom and to plan, prepare and devliver instructional activities and opportunities toward fluency in the Tribal language and traditional cultural knowledge. Language teachers are masters of their language, demonstrating a high proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the language that they are teaching. With these skills, an environment is created for teachers and staff to learn effectively. Language teachers may need to teach several levels concurrently, from beginning speakers of the language to those who are approaching fluency.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
