Job Description

• Landside Operations team
• London Stansted Airport
• 1 x permanent role – part time, 18.5 hours per week
• 1 x 12 month secondment / fixed term contract - 36.75 hours per week
• £26,484 rising to £29,331 after a successful 3 month probationary period (£13,242 rising to £14,665 for the part time role)
• Additional 17.5% shift pay
• Shift working – shifts include 0600 – 1630 and 1530 – 0200, covering seven days a week and rotating over a 10 week period.

The role

To manage the operation of the bus and coach station at Stansted Airport ensuring a safe operating environment, with excellent customer service and minimal disruption at all times. Working as part of the Landside Operations team to ensure that the coach station operates to the highest standards for both passengers, colleagues and other stakeholders.


Working with scheduled bus and coach service providers, you will ensure that exceptional service standards are delivered and you will work to develop positive working relationships.

• To oversee the management of Stansted Airport coach and bus station ensuring an efficient operation with minimal disruption, including bay management
• To carry out daily Health & Safety inspections on the Coach Station facility and report/record all faults through the Airport’s fault reporting process
• To facilitate the payment of charter coach charges and bank monies daily through the agreed process
• To provide information and assistance to all customers and service providers using the coach and bus station services.
• To provide detailed information relating to the Stansted Airport departures and facilities
• Ensure a high level of Customer Service is delivered without exception and make decisions that improve the experience for all.
• To liaise with Cleaning Supervisors to ensure the coach station facility is cleaned to a high standard
• To liaise with the Stansted Airport service providers regarding service updates
• To manage the evacuation of the Coach Station facility and assist in the Terminal evacuation procedures.
• Create a positive culture through great communication, integrity, positive energy and pride
