About the location:

A unique property, the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is tucked away in the secluded Petite Anse bay on the southwest coast of Mahé, the Seychelles’ largest island. The pristine Petite Anse beach and largely untouched natural landscapes, provide all who visit a sense of escape, adventure and discovery. From here you can easily get to know local Seychellois culture at nearby Victoria Market, Takamaka Rum Distillery or Jardin du Roi Spice Garden, or venture by boat for guided day trips to other remote islands such as Praslin or La Digue.

The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.

Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of staff responsible for the remodeling, maintenance and repair of resort’s properties and grounds.

Assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.

Establish schedules and methods for providing remodeling and maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate supervisory staff; implement recommendations; organize, implement and direct remodeling and maintenance schedules.

To maintain sufficient stored on site to complete related works.

Supervise and participate in the estimating, design, material acquisition, scheduling,

Coordination and completion of remodeling and maintenance project; prepare plan sketches when required.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of all on-site personnel including landscaping staff, contractors and temporary employees; ensure that projects adhere to the resort’s policies and all other applicable standards and laws.

Supervise the maintenance of time, material and equipment use records.

Ensure assigned employees on the job site adhere to safe work practices.

Prepare various specifications for projects as required; read and interpret blueprints; meet with contractors to obtain and collect bids.

Inspect city facilities for remodeling and maintenance needs.

Participate in the selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to develop short and long term goals, monitor accomplishments, establish performance requirements and personal development targets and provide coaching for performance improvement and development.

Prepare reports of activities as required.

Perform inspection of tools, vehicles and equipment; schedule repair and maintenance as required.

May plan and design small projects.

Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the maintenance, construction and remodeling fields.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Maintain records and write reports.

Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.

Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required.

Inspect and maintain all landscaping systems and equipment.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

The ability to assist in socket repair and replacement.

The ability to clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.

The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of landscaped and associated duties.

The ability to assist Shift engineers on major shut downs as needed.

The ability to maintain logs for all work performed

The ability to assist in installing or relocating any additional or existing equipment when necessary.

The ability to take meter readings and record into PM charts/logs.

The ability to respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.

The ability to respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, floods etc….

The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.

The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.

The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.

The ability to report any damages observed within the Resort area, whether it be guestroom, public areas or any employee housing units through the Engineering reporting systems in place. Reporting to be done within one hour of discovery.

The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
