
Under limited supervision, performs general labor work. Works with various hand tools, such as hand trowels; garden shears; hand weeders; hedge trimmers; etc. Performs other work (lifting, picking up rubbish or debris, irrigating, etc.). Operates non-riding mowers and weed whacker and does general PVC irrigation pipe connections and repairs.
Compensation:
$17.78/hour (non-exempt)

Reports to: Landscaping/Nursery Supervisors and Lead Workers

Essential Duties
• Performs various basic tasks in the upkeep and the beautification of parks and city area grounds.
• Operates non-riding mower in city areas, beach areas, and other areas as assigned.
• Uses the weed whacker in areas inaccessible to mowing.
• Assists in general irrigation PVC hook-up.
• Performs work with due regard to safety of self and fellow employees, exercising proper care and protection of Company property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
• The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools, or controls.
