Our experienced inter-disciplinary team specializes in parks and open spaces, urban public spaces, multiuse pathways, roadway enhancements, commercial and residential developments, wetland creation, habitat enhancements, watercourse restoration, urban forestry, and low impact development. We connect the people, places, and resources that take a project from concept to reality.
Stantec Ottawa Office is seeking an experienced Landscape Technologist on a one-year contract to join our Ottawa team and assist on projects. Our location in the National Capital Region provides many unique opportunities to work on projects of local and national significance for private and government clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
You will work with general supervision and direction on a variety of projects, ranging in size from urban in-fill projects to parks and campus developments, as a team member of a larger project in collaboration with other professionals and experts.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Through demonstrated experience, you have honed planning and design development skills working on the development of urban spaces, green space, commercial, residential, or roadway projects.
Capabilities and credentials include but are not limited to:
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience.

Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. This position also requires some field work to local and regional project sites; field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. This position will have a flexible working arrangement combining working from home and in office presence; working in the office only is also possible. Stantec will provide you a computer to support your work and collaboration with the team of professionals both in the office and from home.
