Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage horticultural, softscape, forestry, planting, and landscape establishment works across a major development program.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage horticultural, softscape, forestry, planting, and landscape establishment activities across the project.
Provide technical oversight on plant selection, tree species, nursery stock, soil preparation, planting methodology, irrigation requirements, fertilization, pruning, pest control, and plant health.
Review planting plans, landscape specifications, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, and contractor technical documentation.
Monitor site works to ensure planting, tree works, soil works, irrigation interfaces, and horticultural activities are delivered in line with approved designs and project requirements.
Inspect nursery stock, trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers, turf, and other plant materials to confirm quality, suitability, and compliance before installation.
Support tree management activities, including tree protection, relocation, replacement, establishment, and long term maintenance planning.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, supervision teams, client representatives, and relevant authorities to resolve horticultural and forestry related issues.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, site observations, and recommendations for senior project leadership.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Forestry, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in horticulture, forestry, softscape, planting, landscape establishment, or landscape maintenance.
Strong technical knowledge of plant health, tree management, soil science, irrigation requirements, nursery stock, pest control, fertilization, pruning, and landscape establishment.
Experience managing horticultural or forestry works on large scale public realm, parks, infrastructure, mixed use, urban development, or open space projects.
Ability to review planting plans, landscape drawings, specifications, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience working in the GCC or Middle East region.
Knowledge of arid climate planting, native and adaptive species, water efficient landscaping, and sustainable horticultural practices.
Experience with tree surveys, tree relocation, tree protection, forestry management, or arboricultural assessments.
Experience with nursery management, plant procurement, and plant material inspections.
Professional certification or membership in horticulture, forestry, arboriculture, agriculture, irrigation, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in a PMC, supervision consultant, contractor, or client representative environment.
