LANDSCAPE MANAGER
Anakeesta is an award-winning theme park that creates unforgettable outdoor experiences by immersing guests of all ages in the beauty and adventure of the great outdoors. We are seeking a Landscape Manager to lead a team of skilled and semi-skilled landscapers in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized environment across all Anakeesta properties.
This role oversees daily landscaping operations, manages equipment and safety standards, and schedules both routine work and new projects. The Landscape Manager ensures that all tools, materials, and resources are properly allocated, so each project phase is completed on time and at the highest quality.
REQUIREMENTS
Develop work schedules for the landscaping team and coordinate with independent contractors for repairs and projects affecting the overall appearance of the park.
Maintain responsibility for the safety, maintenance, and inventory of all tools, equipment, and related safety gear.
Plan and execute new construction, repairs, projects, equipment needs, work orders, daily maintenance, and supply purchases to ensure timely job completion.
Interview, recommend hires/terminations, schedule staff, and provide direction, training, support, and assistance as needed.
Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
Partner with the Director of Maintenance to assess landscaping needs, plan and manage budgets, schedule projects, and establish ongoing maintenance and inspection schedules.
Train, supervise, and work alongside staff, technicians, interns, volunteers, and contractors to fulfill maintenance needs.
Source, coordinate, and evaluate external contractors, service providers, and design professionals for work outside the scope of in-house capabilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in Landscape Management, Development, Golf Course, or Turf Maintenance.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in outdoor planting, pruning, nursery work, tree farm operations, or similar.
Knowledge of small engine repair and equipment maintenance.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously, both verbally and in writing, including reporting and completing required forms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical activities including pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, crouching, and crawling.
Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, wet/damp areas, high heat, and rough or hilly terrain.
Facility operates seven days a week; role requires flexible scheduling and varying shifts.
