Summary

Perform park and yard maintenance duties as well as certain construction and maintenance projects on County road right-of-ways.

Examples of duties

  1. Maintains equipment and material availability
  2. Maintains Poly Sub-Courthouse, Southwest Sub-Courthouse, Child Protective Services, Tarrant County Print Shop, and Alta Mesa Probation Center lawns
  3. Maintains Echo Lake Park and Babe Stephenson Park
  4. Maintains County road right-of-ways
  5. Maintains County easement
  6. Maintains County park perimeter cables/posts
  7. Maintains pavilion and playground equipment
  8. Paints pavilions and restrooms and replaces park benches
  9. Maintains ballparks
  10. Trims and plant trees along County right-of-ways
  11. Picks up discarded trash
  12. Maintains Precinct Compound grounds
  13. Operates small engine and lawn and turf equipment
  14. Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
  • Class "C" driver's license required, Class "B" CDL license preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.

Supplemental information

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, push and pull. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and extreme heat and cold.
