Landscape Architect

Experience: 8–12 Years
Sector: Airports & Commercial Developments

The Landscape Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing comprehensive landscape solutions for airport infrastructure and large-scale commercial developments The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional, sustainable, and aesthetically superior landscapes in compliance with aviation authority norms and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed landscape designs for airport terminals, landside & airside areas, commercial complexes, and mixed-use developments.
  • Prepare master plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, grading & drainage plans, and landscape construction details.
  • Ensure compliance with airport authority guidelines (AAI/ICAO/FAA as applicable), local bylaws, sustainability norms, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, planners, civil engineers, MEP, and airport operations teams to integrate landscape design with overall project planning.
  • Select appropriate plant species, hardscape materials, street furniture, water features, and irrigation systems suited to climate and operational constraints of airports.
  • Lead preparation of BOQs, technical specifications, tender drawings, and assist during contractor evaluation.
  • Provide site supervision, review shop drawings, monitor landscape execution, and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Incorporate sustainable design practices including water-efficient landscaping, native planting, and low-maintenance solutions.
  • Manage coordination with landscape contractors, nurseries, and vendors
  • Review as-built drawings and support project handover documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, with proven exposure to airport projects and large commercial developments
  • Experience in international or metro city airports will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion/Enscape, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of irrigation systems, drainage design, and sustainable landscaping
  • Ability to prepare detailed drawings, presentations, and reports
