Landfill Operations Supervisor

📍 Potrero Hills Landfill -- Suisun, CA

💰 Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually + 10% Annual Cash Bonus

🕗 Operating Hours: Monday-Friday, 4 AM - 7 PM and Saturday 5 am - 2 pm (Schedule Varies)

About the Role

As a Landfill Operations Supervisor, you’ll play a key leadership role in managing daily landfill operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into higher-level management within 1-3 years.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise work crews operating heavy equipment and waste handling operations.
• Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing or assignments as needed.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Address customer concerns and ensure high service standards.
• Coach and mentor team members; conduct performance reviews and development plans.
• Set and execute short- and long-term operational goals.
• Oversee compliance with environmental, OSHA, and local permitting regulations.
• Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Site drone support; Part 107 drone license required within first six months of employment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, people-driven environment.
• Experience operating or managing heavy equipment operations preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems.
• Willingness to relocate for future promotional opportunities.
