The City of Caldwell Engineering Department is looking for a Land Development Manager to join our team. Individual will oversee private development activities within the Engineering Department and serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating efforts among developers, private consultants, engineering staff, and other city departments. Manages development projects from entitlement through infrastructure dedication, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project requirements. Provides leadership and supervision to assigned staff, which may include land development inspectors and plans examiners, and facilitates collaboration among departments involved in the development process. Work is performed under the direction of the Assistant City Engineer with leeway granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in resolving project-related issues, recommending solutions, and advancing projects through all phases of development. May represent the department at public meetings, hearings, and commission proceedings. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment with some duties performed in an outdoor environment.
