Role purpose
Financial Crime (FC) is dedicated to identifying and mitigating the financial crime threats facing HSBC today and in the future, leveraging advanced analytics, technology, and intelligence to protect our business, customers, and communities. FC combines data-driven insights, innovative technology, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure effective detection and prevention of financial crime, while also contributing to the evolution of regulatory compliance through practical innovation and thought leadership.
The role holder is accountable for leading the development and monitoring of FC analytical models aimed at mitigating the harms associated with financial crime. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and expertise in data analysis and model management, as well as a demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges with creative problem-solving. The FC Detection Manager works collaboratively across regional Financial Crime functions and Line of Business to ensure robust financial crime detection and compliance.
