The LKMC Operating Room Manager over Surgical Services is a registered professional nurse who has 24-hour responsibility for the total direct and indirect nursing care of the patients in the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Endoscopy, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, and Preoperative Teaching, and is responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned. Supervision is provided by the LKMC Nursing Director. On-call may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and possession of a valid Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Three (3) years of professional nursing experience are required.

Substitutions:

  • An Associate's degree in Nursing with two (2) years of professional nursing experience, will substitute for the Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing will substitute for two (2) years of professional nursing experience.
