Job Description

The Lady Liberty Crew Member ensures exceptional guest experience through high-end hospitality and impeccable maintenance of the Lady Liberty yacht. Associates in this role will serve in a variety of roles including crew member & mate depending on the operation of the boat, which may include a variation of pay differentials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in ride-along & job shadowing during the training process.
• General maintenance tasks on Lady Liberty including daily inspections, cleaning the boat – both dockside or on land.
• Assist the captain in ensuring that all passengers and crew remain safe while the Lady Liberty is cruising or guests are on board (may include pay differential during cruise operations).
• Responsible for remaining current for all trainings, required meetings, review or other non-cruising obligations for the Lady Liberty crew.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum Years of experience: 1-3 years’ experience in boating, maintenance or marine mechanics
• Preferred Certification(s): Boater’s license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Knowledge of general lake etiquette.
• Ability to complete basic dock maintenance including mooring techniques, line handling, cleaning and basic vessel maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic vessel safety including knowledge of life vests, emergency equipment and navigation.
• Ability to adapt and switch quickly from between cleaning, serving and docking duties to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Strong swimming skills.
• Ability to maintain privacy for high-profile guests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, stands, and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/never sits or does computer work.

Additional Physical Requirements (Please list if applicable)

• This position is regularly outdoors in varying climates and weather conditions.
• This position should be able to comfortably be in and around lake water.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
