Lady Eagles Assistant Volleyball Coach
The Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in planning, managing, and executing all aspects of the Pensacola Christian College women's volleyball program. This role contributes to student athlete development, game preparation, recruiting activities, and operational coordination. The Assistant Coach plays a key role in fostering athletic excellence, teamwork, and character development while ensuring compliance with institutional and NCCAA standards.
Assist the Head Coach in coaching, developing, and mentoring student athletes both on and off the court. Attend all practices and games and provide instruction tailored to individual and positional development. Plan and lead workouts for assigned position groups while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of volleyball rules, strategies, and program expectations. Reinforce team culture, discipline, and performance standards while serving as a primary advisor to the Head Coach.
Coordinate team travel arrangements by organizing transportation, travel schedules, and communication with players. Ensure that all athletes are informed of travel expectations and timelines. Communicate travel schedules with the Student Life Resource Office to support academic coordination and compliance. Assist with ensuring that all travel logistics are executed efficiently and professionally.
Support recruiting efforts by identifying and contacting prospective student athletes under the direction of the Head Coach. Build relationships with recruits through events such as Eagles Invitational Classics and College Days. Maintain accurate and detailed records of recruiting communications and provide updates and recommendations to the Head Coach for follow up and evaluation.
Serve as the primary statistician during games by recording performance data and providing analysis during halftime and post game evaluations. Report game results promptly to the Sports Information Specialist. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation for NCCAA compliance within established deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
