The life of a SARCAN Labourer:
Each and every SARCAN team member is an important part of our team and our community.  As a Labourer you will be responsible for:
  • Loading/Unloading truck trailers
  • Operating manual or power pallet jacks to move materials
  • Following lock-out procedures for the glass shack and/or general equipment as required
  • Operating cardboard baler
  • Working on upper container conveyor belts
  • Material handling (glass, cardboard, metal containers, electronics, etc.)
  • Performing general clean-up duties as required
  • Attending training and workshops as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Becoming the biggest recycling expert among all of your family and friends
What are the skills you must have to perform this role?
To be successful as a Labourer at SARCAN, you will need to:
  • Possess good communication, both written and verbal
  • Display amazing customer service skills
  • Have the ability to do physical work
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Related experience is an asset 
  • Ability to work in a safe and timely manner is essential
  • Experience operating a forklift training would be an asset
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must provide a satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment
