We are currently looking for a General Laborer for our Montréal East site.

Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving, sorting and classifying materials, as well as verifying their compliance. He or she will actively contribute to the daily operations of the site by performing various related tasks and participating in general site activities.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers courteously while following our procedures and requirements;
  • Participating in the unloading of materials;
  • Sorting different metals according to their characteristics;
  • Inspecting customers’ metals;
  • Identifying the correct type of metal for each product and validate its quality;
  • Weighing metals on the scale;
  • Entering data into the RECY software;
  • Working with different types of machinery (forklift);
  • Preparing receiving and shipping tickets;
  • Ensuring site cleanliness;
  • Performing any other related tasks;

Qualifications

To join our team:

You have one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position;

You have knowledge of metal recycling (major asset);

You have Forklift experience (major asset) on site training;

You are Bilingual (asset);

You demonstrate safe professional behavior;

You are versatile and resourceful;

You have the ability to work in a team;

You are very good priority management;

You provide excellent customer service.
