We are currently looking for a Labourer for our Montréal-East site. This is a temporary position, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m

Reporting to the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and classifying materials, as well as verifying their compliance. The individual will actively contribute to the site’s daily operations by performing various related tasks and participating in general site activities.

What you will be responsible for :

• Providing quality customer service and communicating prices to customers;
• Sorting and classifying metals according to their type and characteristics;
• Weighing materials and entering data into the RECY system;
• Preparing and coordinating shipments and receiving materials;
• Maintaining the general cleanliness of the site and keeping equipment in good condition;
• Performing daily maintenance of equipment and work area;
• Following and applying health and safety standards (wearing PPE).

Qualifications

• You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions;
• You have experience or an interest in metal recycling (an asset);
• You have basic knowledge of metals (an asset);
• You are able to work in a dusty environment;
• You are able to perform physically demanding work;
• You are punctual and reliable.
