ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking dedicated Labourers to join our growing Transmission Lines team. In this role, you will assist with the construction, stringing, and installation support of high-voltage transmission lines and associated infrastructure.

This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off locations between Sydney and the Mudgee region.

Applicants located within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense. Please note this is not a FIFO role, and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with erection and installation of transmission line structures and components

• Support conductor stringing, sagging, and tensioning activities

• Carry and handle materials including poles, fittings, and hardware

• Assist rigging crews, dogmen, and crane operators during lifting operations

• Perform general civil and transmission line construction labouring duties

• Maintain strict adherence to site safety and environmental procedures

• Work at heights and in remote conditions as required

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in civil construction or transmission line work (preferred)

• Construction White Card

• Working at Heights ticket (preferred)

• Basic rigging or dogman ticket (desirable)

• Physically fit and able to work in remote outdoor conditions

• Valid driver’s licence

• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check
