AIM is currently seeking a Temporary General Labourer (6‑month contract) at its Montréal‑East site, with a work schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.Under the supervision of the Supervisor, you will perform various tasks in rotation with your teammates to support daily operations.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Sorting different types of metals based on their characteristics
  • Inspecting customer metals, identifying the appropriate metal type and verifying quality
  • Weighing metals using the scale
  • Operating various types of equipment as required (e.g. forklift, loader, Bobcat).
  • Actively participating in the daily activities of the department
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and your workstation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Working in a safe manner and complying with health and safety policies as well as company procedures.
  • Performing any other related tasks required to support operations.

Qualifications

To join Our Team, you must :

  • Demonstrate a professional and safety‑focused attitude and strictly follow health and safety guidelines
  • Be in good physical condition and comfortable performing repetitive tasks, such as sorting metals on tables or on the ground.
  • Show versatility, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn
  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate strong priority management skills
  • Be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) (mask, ear protection, safety glasses, helmet, coveralls).
  • Have knowledge of metals (an asset)
  • Have forklift experience (an asset)
  • Be bilingual (an asset)

Additional Information

Work Environment :

  • Willingness to work in a dusty and noisy industrial environment, sometimes outdoors and exposed to varying temperatures
  • Physically demanding tasks
