Major Responsibilities:

  • Picks up, clears and/or disposes of litter on an assigned route/area including but not limited to street, parks, and alleyways, including loose garbage.
  • Removal of illegal notices, signs and posters.
  • Assists with maintaining parks, flower beds and shrubs utilizing appropriate tools.
  • Assists with setting up recreational equipment, such as chairs, benches, soccer/football posts.

Key Qualifications:

Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:

1. Must be registered, and maintain registration, as a full-time student at a recognized and accredited post-secondary educational institution. (Written documentation will be required)

Your application must also demonstrate that you have the following skills:

  • Physically capable of performing required duties.
  • Able to work outside and in all weather conditions.
  • Capable of understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and training.
  • Deal courteously with the public and exercise good customer service skills.
  • Able to do shift work as required (afternoons and weekends), in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
