This is an opportunity for someone withsolidexpertisein employee relations and Spanish labour lawto play a key role within UNIQLO Spain's growing HR function. You will oversee ER casework, Works Council relations, and collective negotiations, whileadvisingmanagers and leadership on complex employee matters to ensure full legal compliance.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder retail environmentStrong communication, negotiation, and investigative skills are essential, along witha high levelof discretion and professionalism.
What you willbe responsible for
Employee Relations&Case Management
Manage disciplinary actions, misconduct investigations, and dismissal processes, ensuring legal compliance andaccuratedocumentation.
Support investigations into harassment, discrimination, and employee complaints in coordination with the HRBP and Legal.
Works Council&Employee Representation
Act as a key contact for Works Councils, employee representatives, and trade unions.
Coordinate andparticipatein consultations, meetings, and collective negotiations.
Labour Law, Governance&Compliance
Ensure compliance with labour laws, collective agreements, and internal HR policies.
Support labour inspections, conciliations, and external legal processes.
Track ER cases andtrends andcontribute to policy and process improvements.
Advisory&Preventive Role
Deliver ER and labour-law training to store management teams.
Monitor legislative changes and support compliance action plans.
Support employee wellbeing, inclusion, and equality initiatives.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
Degree in Law with 3–5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Labour Relations, or an HR role with strong ER exposure.
HR experience gained within retail or hospitality
Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is a mandatory requirement due to daily business needs
Practical experience working withWorks Councils (RLPT), employee representatives, or trade unions, including consultation and negotiation processes.
Proventrack recordmanaging disciplinary procedures, grievances, and employee investigations.
Experience supporting labour inspections, conciliations, or administrative labour processes.
Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, collective agreements, and governance frameworks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations confidently.
Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
High levelof discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
