The Ohio Expo Center is one of the most dynamic and unique event venues in the Midwest. It occupies 360 acres in the heart of Columbus – just north of downtown, minutes from Port Columbus International Airport, shopping and hotels – and at the crossroads of two major north-south and east-west interstates, it is located within a half-day drive for half the nation’s population.

With more than one million square feet of event space under roof, on-site parking for 14,000 vehicles, seating for 20,000 people and ties for 2,000 cattle, the Ohio Expo Center is one of the most flexible and accommodating sites available.

Second shift position

Clean and maintain grounds and various buildings at the Ohio Expo Center. Assist landscape crew as seasonal needs arise (e.g., mow grass, trim, pull weeks, haul trash). Repair and erect snow fences. Remove snow and ice and spread salt on walks and roadways.

Sweep, mop and wax floors, wash walls & windows, maintain and supply restrooms and perform other cleaning duties. Have grounds and buildings cleaned and ready for events. Maintain buildings during event hours.

Assist in the set-up, clean-up and removal of events. Assist in set-up of chairs, tables, platforms, speaker tables, stages and any other materials requested by event coordinators. Set-up, remove and clean various animal pens and stalls.

Respond to needs of event coordinator or maintenance worker assigned as program attendant (e.g., make necessary changes to event set ups when needed, move equipment in and out of buildings as needed).

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.

Job Skills: Driving

Must possess valid Driver's License.
