Job Description

What you’ll do:

Job duties are performed under sporadic supervision and include the following:

• Hoses down work site to control dust
• Uses hand tools and various other power tools including air saw, jack hammer, cut off saw, sledgehammer, wheel barrel, shovels, torch, fire hose and others as needed to assist in accomplishing tasks in conjunction with projects involving demolition of commercial and residential buildings and interiors
• Performs various duties as ground man for equipment including maintaining fuel levels of equipment used at jobsite
• Removes demolition debris
• Maintains housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order; proper storage of equipment at end of shift
• Erects construction fencing around work areas
• Serves as flagman, directing equipment traffic at work site
• Completes truck tickets for pick up and delivery of job site materials
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

What you'll need:

• Work in high and low temperature settings
• Able to stand while working, up to 16 hours per day
• Lift and carry 60 lbs. on a regular basis
• Able to stoop, kneel and crawl, working in awkward positions for long periods
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights of more than 10 feet
• Exposure to loud noise, machinery, chemicals, fumes, odors, dust etc
• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, leather work boots, hearing protectors, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required
