Under direction of Construction Manager, provide support to asphalt cutting, trenching, pipeline installation, bedding placement, compaction, traffic control and basin refurbishing activities (loading trucks and stockpile excavated soil and asphalt, effluent pipe installation, backfill, compaction, and restructuring existing basins). The base company wage for the Laborer position is $30.00/hr. However, for this project, the Laborer position will be paid the Federal prevailing wage for work performed. It is anticipated to start work on June 8, 2026.

Project Description: HDPE pipeline and basin infrastructure construction.

The base company wage for the Laborer position is $30.00 / hr.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Use of hand tools
• Ability to work in team environment in safe and productive manner
• Install erosion control measures
• Clear vegetation
• Transport excess soil and asphalt to laydown area
• Place pipe bedding material
• Pipe installation
• Compaction and backfilling trench
• Flagging vehicle traffic
• Perform site restoration

Basic Qualifications:

• Civil Construction
• No Felonies
• Clean driving record with valid license
• Dependable transportation and cell phone
• Must live within daily commute of Wantagh, New York
• Able to pass drug screen and physical

Work Schedule:

• 5 days/week with 8 hrs/day

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $30 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
