The QCLaboratory Technician (Lab Tech)is responsible forsupporting daily laboratory operationstomaintainoptimallaboratory throughputSuch support includes collaborating with other site departments tofacilitatesample coordination activities and working with laboratory personnel to ensure samples, reference standards,microbiological media,and reagents within the laboratory are managed per procedural and regulatory requirementsTheLabTech will also support daily laboratory readiness activities, such as performing daily instrument checks,preparation of laboratory solutions,performing scheduled cleaning,laboratory workstationstocking,maintaininglaboratory glasswareaswell as providingback-up support to the stability storage and administration team.Therolecanbe trained to perform basic GMP laboratory testing activities, such as simple utility orentry levelassaysas needed.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Collaborate with other site departments via process team meetings and other scheduling tools, to coordinate sample delivery to the QC laboratory.
Receive samples in laboratory information managementsystem(LIMS)andconsumables inventory management system(CIMS)
Performsampleand reference standardreconciliation.
Perform sample disposition and disposal.
Receive, label, store, and manage laboratory media, reagents, and consumables
Supports ordering and inventory restocking as needed.
Maintain laboratory glassware/parts washer.
Perform daily balance and pipette calibration checks
Perform daily Milli-Q system checks.
Prepare general laboratory solutions and buffers according to approved methods and documentation requirements.
Lead sample submission process for samples sent from RTP to third party/external laboratories.
Lead sample receipt process for samplessubmittedto RTP from other Lilly sites.
Provide back up support to the stability administrative team, including stability sample pulls and stability sample management.
Execute scheduled cleaning for laboratory equipment (e.g., biosafety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, and storage units) per approvedprocedures
Respond to temperature excursions related to sample and material storage units.
Perform laboratory instrument standardizations, as needed.
Requirements (Education, Experience, Training):
High School Diploma, GED orAssociates Degreeina LifeScience, with a minimum of two years related experience.
Bachelor (4-year college) degree ina lifescience.
PreferredAttributes (notrequired)
Experience with electronic laboratory management systems (E.g., LIMS, LES,MODA,ELN)
Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience withTrackWiseand/or Veeva
Experience with change control, analytical and deviation investigations, including root cause analysis and CAPA.
Experience with use and operation of analytical balances and pipettes.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and networking skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience in a GMP environment.
Demonstrated written and verbalcommunicationsskills.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a Team.
Additional Information
10-hour days –Sunday to Wednesdayor Wednesday to Saturday
May require support outside of regular schedule (weekend days or off-hours) in support of continuous (24/7) manufacturing operations.
Applicantwill work in various areas within the site. Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.
Tasks may require repetitive motion (E.g., keyboarding).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$18.02 - $34.90
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
