Laboratory Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving.
  • Interfaces with Eurofins CellTx clients to resolve specimen issues.
  • Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies.
  • Works with Quality Assurance to resolve client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Assists department as needed with routine operations.
  • Supports Eurofins CellTx’ business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics.
  • In order to meet Eurofins CellTx’ quality policy and objectives, all employees are expected to meet basic expectations of Eurofins CellTx’ quality management system including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience
  • New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong Communication Skills and analytical skills
  • Able to lift 30 pounds and be on feet for a portion of the day
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Potential Environmental Factors:

  • This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins CellTX’s Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable standing and/or sitting for long periods of time
  • Comfortable with repetitive motion

Position is part-time 90-day Temp working Tuesday - Saturaday 11:00AM to 4:30PM Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Tucson, AZ are encouraged to apply.
