Laboratory Technician

Part-time $25.86 - $32.05 per hour, Monday to Friday

We need a part-time Laboratory Technician to work at our Rocklea laboratory Monday to Friday for 5 hours daily to perform in-laboratory work. You will assist our field team by completing concrete testing and laboratory administration.

This work can be performed anytime during normal business hours and may suit someone with caring responsibilities outside of school hours.

What you'll be doing

• Perform testing in accordance with Australian Standards including preparation of concrete samples, taking measurements, and utilising machines for concrete testing
• Maintain accurate data of records for samples, test results and equipment calibrations
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17001, NATA requirements and industry standards

What you'll bring

• Reasonable physical fitness, a willingness to be active and the ability to lift 5 kg regularly
• Strong communication skills to interact productively with team members
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Good attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Certificate in Laboratory Skills desirable but not essential. Training will be provided
