Job Description

Laboratory Technician

In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and all applicable regulatory standards, the Laboratory Technician performs, interprets, troubleshoots, and documents laboratory procedures in a production environment. Responsibilities include a wide variety of analytical testing activities utilizing both manual and automated methods and procedures to support manufacturing operations and product quality.

This position provides day-to-day maintenance of bacterial clones, reagents, laboratory equipment, and the laboratory environment to ensure uninterrupted production support and compliance with quality standards. The role also supports documentation activities, equipment maintenance, process monitoring, and other laboratory-related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures, analytical testing, and production support activities in accordance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Interpret test results and troubleshoot routine laboratory and process-related issues.

  • Conduct proceduresusing manual and automated laboratory methods and equipment.

  • Maintain bacterial clones and associated biological materials required for manufacturing operations.

  • Prepare, maintain, and manage laboratory reagents and consumables.

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of laboratory and production equipment.

  • Ensure laboratory workspaces, equipment, and materials are maintained in a clean, organized, and compliant state.

  • Accurately document test results, procedures, observations, and production data in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with the preparation of reports, summaries, protocols, and technical documentation as required

  • Identify and communicate equipment, process, or quality issues to supervisors and team members.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degreerequired

  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred

  • Experience with pipets and DNA is preferred

  • Coursework in biotechnology, microbiology, biology, chemistry, laboratory sciences, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred.

  • Laboratory, manufacturing, biotechnology, or regulated industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, SOPs, and documentation requirements.

  • Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and biological materials handling.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintainaccurate records and documentation.

  • Basic computer proficiency and data-entry skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently on routine assignments while contributing effectively as a team member.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, cGMP compliance, and continuous improvement.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least September 2, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $20.77 - $32.45/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
