Work location: Subang and there is potential to be stationed at Sepang from Q4 2026.
A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills.
Perform day-to-day Lab testing related to chemical and mechanical test.
Support Special Process Owner (SPO) and Engineer on developing the new testing capability for the NPI.
Responsible to ensure Lab readiness is at optimum to support day-to-day Lab test requirements from production. i.e: Ensure the availability of the chemical and other related consumables.
Responsible to ensure calibrated equipment are in valid calibration period and in good working condition.
Perform Analysis and evaluation on the Lab test performed. Chemical and Mechanical test.
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Support cleaning/inspection engineering operations when chemical and mechanical testing schedule volume are low.
Perform any other duties as assigned by your manager from time to time.
Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate has lab environment experience with passion for aerospace engine MRO.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, Metallurgy or any other related science subjects.
2-3 Years working experiences in a Lab environment; Fresh graduates, Lab assistance or Research Assistance are encouraged to apply.
Have hands-on experiences in all or some of these lab processes:
- Chemical process: Titration, etc.
- Mechanical process: Hardness Test, Tensile Test, Metallography specimen preparation, microstructure analysis using high magnification microscope, etc.
Available to work on 3 shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Suites) and experience using SAP system
