Job Description

  • Analytical analysis and testing:
    • Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiries
    • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation
    • Assist with test method development and validation efforts
    • Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
    • Performing pH and OV testing
  • Foster morale and teamwork
  • Attend meetings with client along with group leader or when group leader is absent
  • Keep group leader informed on critical issues in the lab.
  • Communicate with other labs, client, and management when group leader is out of office
  • Be the “go to person” in the lab when Group leader is out of office
  • Complete QC charting
  • Monitor Backlog
  • Support group leader in organizing testing, scheduling and planning and ensuring testing is completed within TAT
  • Be available to group to support group leader with special and high volume projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, with occasional off-shift/weekend work
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and team building skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company and client policies
  • Ability to delegate workflow, as required
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends
  • Ability to stand over 50% of a shift and lift over 50 lbs.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
