Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure quality standards, and lead a team of laboratory technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure efficient and accurate testing and analysis.
• Manage laboratory staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and laboratory protocols.
• Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation of test results, procedures, and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to support project goals and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Implement and improve laboratory procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using automated and manual techniques.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Adhere to established protocols and quality control procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies such as CLIA and CAP.
• Document and report test results accurately and promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment by following safety guidelines and infection control procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or equivalent from an accredited certifying body such as ASCP or AMT.
• Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in laboratory management or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
