Kindred Hospital Houston Medical Center and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) provide specialized care for patients with complex medical needs. Our long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) offers advanced, hospital-level treatment for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended stays. In addition, our Acute Rehabilitation Unit is dedicated to helping patients recover from the effects of acute injuries, impairments, or illnesses. Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and/or Market/Regional Manager, Supervisors are responsible for the technical and/or direct supervision of activities of lab personnel engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Maintains policies and procedures, ensures quality control practices are followed within the Laboratory. Maintains effective interdepartmental and physician relations. Executes work assignment and additional tasks as directed by Support Center functional lead.
