  • Coordinate shift resources and contribute to roster and leave planning
  • Lead team meetings, toolbox talks and effective shift communications
  • Champion safety, quality, food safety, environmental and laboratory standards
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve laboratory methods, procedures and ways of working.

About You

You combine technical know-how with practical leadership, bringing people together, setting priorities and keeping the team focused during Vintage and busy shifts.

You will bring:

  • A minimum Certificate IV in Laboratory Operations or equivalent
  • At least three years' laboratory experience, ideally within the wine industry
  • Sound knowledge of analytical chemistry, microbiology, laboratory procedures, quality assurance and equipment management
  • Experience supervising employees and coordinating workloads and resources
  • Strong communication, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, accuracy and compliance
  • Leadership, mentoring or supervisory training will be highly regarded
  • A current driver's licence.

The ability to undertake shift work, reasonable overtime and work outside normal hours during peak periods such as vintage is essential.
