University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Medicine – Division of Medical OncologyJob Title: Laboratory Sciences Intermediate ProfessionalPosition #: 00853724 – Requisition #: 41315 Job Summary:The Concannon Lab in the Division of Medical Oncology is looking for a Laboratory Science Intermediate Professional with an interest in thoracic oncology research, including primary human T-cell cultures, cancer cell-line work, etc. Key Responsibilities:Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects.Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research.Support analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting and communicating results.Supporting other lab team members.Basic laboratory maintenance.Communication of our laboratory work with the patient community through in-person interactions and social media. Work Location:Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related fieldSubstitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.One (1) year professional level research experience.Substitution: An advanced degree (Masters or PhD) may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.Two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory.
