
[What the role is]
We are looking for an individual with biomedical/ life sciences/ biology background and willing to work after hours schedule to be part of a committed team that supports the National Blood Program. You will provide critical after hours blood supply operations support to ensure adequate and timely provision of quality and safe blood and blood products to hospitals. You will be performing blood component processing and managing of blood inventory.
The appointee for this position will be hired in the Blood Supply Management Division, and he/she will work in a lab-based environment.
If appointed, you are expected to work permanent night shifts which will include public holidays and weekends as rostered. Currently, our officers on night shift work 12-hours shift, subject to change to an 8.5-hours shift. Work hours will make up a total of 42 hours per week.
[What you will be working on]
Blood inventory management – responsible to maintain an adequate supply of blood and blood products to hospitals, and to provide laboratory technical support to the after hours blood supply operations according to the standards set in the Laboratory:
Blood Component Processing – responsible to perform a variety of laboratory technical procedures according to the standards set in the Laboratory:
General and Administrative work – responsible to perform general and administrative works according to the standards set in the Laboratory:
