The Laboratory Manager will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing laboratory in Southport, Queensland. This role is crucial for ensuring that all laboratory processes meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, while also driving efficiency and innovation within the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the quality of our products and supporting the overall objectives of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise laboratory staff, ensuring effective team performance and development.
• Oversee laboratory operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality control.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and prepare reports for management review.
• Manage laboratory budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement in laboratory practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in laboratory management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
