We are recruiting for a team of seasonal staff to join our Liquid Semen Laboratory at our Newstead site from September until December. Our laboratory plays a vital role in supplying fresh bull semen to farmers across New Zealand for artificial insemination of their cows. This is a fast-paced operational environment that emphasises quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
Roles will commence in September and end in December.
Days of work and hours may vary based on work availability but will be a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight and up to 40 hours per week in the peak processing period.
We operate 7 days a week during peak season and use a 5 on 2 off roster. The 2 days off are consecutive but not necessarily Saturday or Sunday. Early starts may be required.
Prior experience is not necessary as full training is provided.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following attributes:
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to follow standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
Enjoy working as part of a large team.
Punctual.
Flexible and willing to learn a wide range of tasks.
Good communication skills.
Previous experience in a laboratory or production environment is valuable but not essential.
