The NAIADEL Lab in the Department of Psychology within the University of Arizona’s College of Science invites applications for a Lab Coordinator I.
NAIADEL is an interdisciplinary laboratory at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, behavioral economics, and computational psychiatry. We connect computational psychology with generative AI to investigate the mechanisms of adaptive intelligence and agency across biological and artificial systems. Our research examines how people and artificial agents learn about their environment, judge what they can control, revise those judgments after setbacks, and decide when to persist, disengage, or change strategies. We combine interactive experiments, computational modeling, and neuroscience to understand these processes and their implications for mental health and adaptive AI.
The Lab Coordinator will work closely with the Principal Investigator to support the launch, growth, and day-to-day operation of this newly established laboratory. They will build and maintain systems for project tracking, study documentation, participant workflows, IRB materials, onboarding, purchasing, scheduling, and team communication. They will also coordinate multi-sided collaborations, online and in-person studies, supporting participant recruitment, data collection, data quality monitoring, and reproducible data organization.
Depending on the coordinator’s interests and skills, opportunities may include contributing to task development, data analysis, conference presentations, and manuscripts.
