Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will support the daily operations and core infrastructure of the lab, contributing to the smooth execution of contractually funded research activities. This role involves maintaining inventories, preparing materials, organizing supplies, and ensuring a clean and orderly lab environment. Duties include:

•Prepare basic experimental materials and supplies according to established procedures.

•Maintain accurate, up to date inventories of laboratory reagents, consumables, and equipment.

•Receive, unbox, and organize incoming reagents and consumables.

•Maintain overall lab cleanliness and tidiness, including shared spaces.

Note: This is a part-time position. May convert to career.

Salary Range: $25.75/hour - $30.17/hour


Job Qualifications

•Ability to work alternative or variable shifts based on operational needs.

•Ability to read, understand, and follow scientific protocols.

•Strong communication and organizational skills.

•Ability and willingness to work with mice.

•Ability to work in an aseptic environment and follow sterile technique.

•Degree in Biological Sciences or related field preferred.
