We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ) team.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Analyst serves as a key technical resource responsible for performing and coordinating routine and specialized analytical testing, providing technical guidance to laboratory personnel, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable analytical data that supports safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible plant operations.
The role supports laboratory quality systems, equipment reliability, environmental monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives, while assisting with the prioritization of daily testing activities and the review and interpretation of analytical results.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, HESQ, Procurement, and other stakeholders, the Laboratory Analyst ensures laboratory activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Company standards, established procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
In the absence of the Laboratory Supervisor, the incumbent may provide technical and operational support to maintain continuity of laboratory operations. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake other duties, projects, and assignments reasonably associated with the role and the operational requirements of the department.

The successful candidate will be a safety-conscious and results-oriented laboratory professional who demonstrates a strong commitment to Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ), together with a thorough understanding of Company standards, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented laboratory professional with a passion for quality, accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement. They will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering reliable analytical data that supports operational excellence, process optimization, and informed decision-making.
You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability, together with sound judgement and a strong work ethic. The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of work in a fast-paced environment will be essential.
The successful candidate will be proactive, dependable, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will build positive working relationships across departments and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence
You will be comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to initiatives that enhance laboratory performance, quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Flexibility to work shifts during the weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, as well as extended hours when required to meet business needs, and must be comfortable working safely in an industrial petrochemical environment, including in confined spaces and at heights.
