Job Description

The Laboratory Analyst performs analytical testing of water samples in compliance with OEPA and EPA regulatory standards.

  • Analytical Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis as assigned including chemical, bacteriological and bioassay
  • Complete all applicable quality control requirements and documentation
  • Follow standard operating procedures in the performance of analysis
  • Perform data handling, data reduction, calculate results as required
  • Prepare solutions and reagents

Quality Assurance Activities

  • Perform assigned quality assurance activities
  • Perform MDL studies and assist in method development as required
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform equipment maintenance as required or assigned
  • Troubleshoot instrument as needed

General

  • Assist in the preparation of supplies for customers
  • Assist in sample login
  • Assist with sampling as needed

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field OR equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation
  • Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Additional Information

  • Position is full-time, Sunday-Thursday, 8 AM- 5 PM with additional time as needed.
  • Position is located at our Lima, Ohio location.
  • Position Pay Range is $20.00-$22.00/hr based on experience.
