Job Description

    The Labor Relations Team Leader is responsible to supervise the team on the resolution of employee issues, HR communication, staff satisfaction and other related HR initiatives. Performs administrative functions in various personnel policies that affect people at work such as work conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, and absence management and grievance procedures to ensure effective service and encourage harmonious industrial relations in the organization.

Job Responsibilities 1

Supervise the team in processing, tracking and recording of separation like, Resignation, Termination in various conditions as advised by Labor Operations Manager.

Support the team in arranging tickets and exit permits from Head Office/Immigration and coordinating with Camps, PMV for deportation of separated workers.

Ensure prompt preparation of separation documents like resignation, termination for various reason, as per instruction by Operations Manager.

Process, tracks and records various types of leaves (Annual, Unpaid, Emergency and Sick Leaves) of Staff and Labors including their tickets and exit permits from Head Office and implement through Camps.

Prepares Worker’s duty resumption related to Annual Leave, Emergency Leave, Sick Leave and arranging all the signatory and information provide to Data Entry Operators for updating the system.

Confirms through Recruitment Department regarding New Arrivals, actual and accurate recording and reporting the same within Departments like, HR, Operations, Camps and PMV.

Processes visa requirement like, Blood Group Test, Medical and Fingerprints in coordination with Head Office and Camps.

Updates master sheet for department records with information of Active Manpower, Leave, Separation and other additional required data on daily basis and distributing among colleagues for routine work.

Follow up with HR and Payroll Departments regarding Staff related HR issues.

Receives Employment Contracts for Employee’s Signature and dispatching to HR.

Process renewal of Worker’s RP, Passport and other related issues.

Coordinates with HR Department (Head Office) for urgent issues like passport undertaking, RP renewal and healthcare Renewal.

Prepares reimbursement documents like medical expense related to site accident cases.

Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

Possess advanced knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements to effectively navigate complex labor relations issues.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills are essential for managing labor disputes, grievances, and contract negotiations with unions or employee representatives.

Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills enables effective communication with employees, union representatives, and management to build consensus and resolve conflicts.

Experience in conducting investigations, mediating disputes, and interpreting labor contracts enhances the ability to address employee grievances and ensure compliance with labor agreements.

Leadership and strategic planning skills are vital for developing and implementing labor relations strategies that promote positive employee relations and support organizational goals.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
