WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Ensure compliance of HR policies, employment contracts, and labor practices in Poland with the Polish Labor Code and applicable EU regulations.
  • Lead and oversee labor litigation, employee disputes, labor inspections (PIP), and other employment-related proceedings, aiming for favorable business outcomes.
  • Coordinate and manage external law firms across Eastern Europe, ensuring consistent legal advice, cost efficiency, and high-quality support.
  • Drive cross-border labor law harmonization by identifying common legal themes and developing regional standards and best practices.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to HR and business leaders on restructuring initiatives, terminations, collective bargaining agreements, and other sensitive employment matters.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with trade unions and support collective bargaining negotiations in Poland.
  • Monitor labor law developments and proactively mitigate employment-related risks across Eastern European markets.
  • Design and deliver labor law training sessions for HR and management teams, while maintaining a knowledge-sharing framework for the region.
  • Manage legal budgets, monitor external counsel spend, and ensure cost-effective delivery of legal services.
  • Support multi-country projects, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring activities, internal investigations, and organizational transformations from an employment law perspective.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Essential:

  • Master's degree in Law and qualification as a Polish attorney (Radca Prawny or Adwokat).
  • 7+ years of experience in Polish employment law, including experience in an international or multinational environment.
  • Proven expertise in labor litigation, employment compliance, and HR legal advisory.
  • Strong knowledge of the Polish Labor Code, labor inspections (PIP), and social security regulations (ZUS).
  • Experience advising on complex employment matters, including restructurings, terminations, and employee relations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Native Polish and fluent English (C1/C2).

Preferred:

  • Experience working across multiple Eastern European jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of EU employment law and GDPR in the employment context.
  • Experience supporting M&A, business transformation, or cross-border projects.
  • Experience managing external legal counsel and legal budgets.
