Summary

• This position is for the Wage and Hour section of the Division of Labor.
• Headquartered at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston, you will be responsible for processing Requests for Assistance (RFA) for unpaid wages/ fringe benefits.
• Greet and assist customers via in-person and telephone and answer questions regarding state law and policy & procedure.
• Review and interpret state code, procedural rules, and policy directives to make determinations of payments.
• State equipment will be provided.
• Occasional travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid by the agency.
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
• Travel may include traveling to businesses to review payroll records, company handbooks, interview involved parties, etc.
• Schedule status hearings with complainants and businesses.
• Hands-on training will be provided.
• Accurate data entry into agency databases and reports are required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or the equivalent.

Training: Hands-on training will be provided.

Special Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license.
