What You'll Do

As a Labor & Birth RN at Mercy, you'll:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care
  • Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
  • Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
  • Conduct bedside handoffs and patient safety reporting
  • Educate patients and families throughout their care journey
  • Utilize diagnostic, laboratory, and fetal monitoring data
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support professional growth through ongoing education and certifications
  • Serve as a patient advocate while promoting exceptional outcomes

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN License or eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

Additional Certifications May Include

  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • S.T.A.B.L.E.
  • C-EFM
  • PALS
  • Other unit-specific certifications as required
